Neighbourhood Policing Team Weekly Update |
||
|
As you may have seen via our communications updates or in the media, a number of incidents have occurred in Dorset that have been resource intense. Poole NPT officers and PCSOs have been providing support throughout the week to assist our colleagues, support the investigations and help keep people safe.
On Wednesday, we responded to reports of a male in possession of a knife in Poole Town. An individual matching the description was detained swiftly by officers in the area of Skinner Street and searched. The search was negative and the individuals involved were issued dispersal notices to leave the area.
PCSOs Matt and Sam have begun tutoring two new PCSOs, Mike and Kristina who we welcome to the team. They will spend the next 10 weeks completing their 'Independent Patrol Status' with their tutors in Poole - we wish them the best of luck! If you wish to learn more about a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) or join our next intake, follow the link! https://recruitment.dorset.police.uk/dorset-police-careers/dorset-police-staff/dorset-pcso/
We've been patrolling in the Broadstone area due to multiple reports of young persons banging on elderly residents doors and intimidating them, please look out for vulnerable residents and encourage them to report similar incidents.
Here's a quick look at some of the other work we've been doing to keep our community safe and connected 👇 🥸 2 x Stop Searches 🚔 9 x Reports of antisocial behaviour attended and positive action taken (including 2 x Section 35 Dispersal Orders) 🔦 6 x Address checks and reassurance visits conducted to victims of crime/vulnerable persons and known offenders 🔪 4 x Weapons seized from properties 🗣️ 2 x Community engagements attended 🐦 1 x Cuckooing check conducted 🥾 A large number of hours on foot and mobile patrol targeting our high harm areas and locations subjected to antisocial behaviour, such as Poole Town, Oakdale and Broadstone.
